Traditional service at Wesley Sanctuary on the 6yh Sunday after Pentecost (24 July 2011)

Unison prayer
Lord, you lead us by ways we do not know, through joy and sorrow, through victory and defeat, beyond our understanding. Give us faith to see Your guiding hand on all things; that being neither lifted up by seeming success, nor cast down by seeming failure, we may press forward wherever You lead, to the glory of Your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Eric Milner-White and G. W.  Briggs

How Great Is Our God!
Chris Tomlin

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty. Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice. He wraps Himself in Light and darkness tries to hide and trembles at His voice, trembles at his voice.

Chorus
How great is our God, sing with me;
How great is our God, and all will see, how great, how great is our God.

Age to age He stands and time isn his hands. Beginning and the end. Beginning and the end. The Godhead Three in One:
Father, Spirit, Son.
The lion and the lamb, the lion and the lamb.

Bridge
Name above all names, worthy of all praise. My heart will sing how great is our God.

You Alone
You are the peace that guards my heart, my help in time of need. You are the hope that leads me on and brings me to my knees. For there I find You waiting and there I fond release. So with all my heart I’ll worship and unto You I’ll sing.

For You alone deserve all glory, for you alone deserve all praise. Father, we worship and adore You. Father, we long to see Your face. For You alone deserve all glory, you alone deserve all praise. Father, we love you and we worship You this day.

I Offer My Life
Claire Clominger / Don Moen

All that I am, all that I have, I lay them down before You, O Lord. All my regrets, all my acclaim, the joy and the pain, I’m making them Yours.

Chorus
Lord, I offer my life to You, everything I’ve been through, use it for Your glory. Lord, I offer my days to you lifting my praise to You, as a pleasing sacrifice. Lord, I offer You my life.

Things on the past, things yet unseen, wishes and dreams that are yet to come true. All of my hopes, all of my plans my heart and my hands are lifted to You.

Bridge
What can we give that You have not given. And what do we have that is not already Yours. All we possess are these lives we’re living and that’s what we give to you!
